Women Push the Fast Forward Button on their Businesses at the
Women’s Small Business Expo

2 Day Event Where Women Entrepreneurs are Mentored by Top Business Leaders

Los Angeles, CA
- What if women could push the fast forward button on their businesses? At the Women’s Small Business Expo, held on April 27-28, 2006 at the Marriott Torrance Hotel in Greater Los Angeles, California, women will come together, learn success secrets from the nation's top business leaders, and participate in power networking and accelerated learning so they can crank up their businesses and grow.

What makes the Women’s Small Business Expo different from other conferences is that women are not just observers. They are active participants in shaping their future. Women will write their entrepreneurial success plans, create their destiny, form success teams, and learn how to increase their profits.

Topics include special financing for women-owned businesses, power selling, marketing magic, success planning, internet wealth, and how to avoid the most common business blunders.

The Expo also encourages enlightened entrepreneurship and the importance of giving back to society. Last year, The Women’s Small Business Expo raised over $2,500 for women in need including their charitable partner, the Women’s Peace Campaign, which helps victims of domestic abuse.

Linda Hollander, the founder of the Expo, is also known as the Wealthy Bag Lady and author of the book, Bags to Riches: 7 Success Secrets for Women in Business. She says, “The Women’s Small Business Expo is all about high-octane entrepreneurial power. Only 20% of all businesses succeed. We want to give women the edge to be part of that 20%.”

According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, Women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men, claiming their true economic freedom and rebuilding America. Women make or influence over 80% of all purchases in America. Currently there are over 10.6 million women-owned businesses employing 19.1 million people and generating 2.5 trillion in sales.

Los Angeles is now the city with the most women entrepreneurs. Today’s economy is actually sparking the rise in women-owned businesses. Women are starting businesses after being downsized or laid off. The Women’s Small Business Expo is part of Women’s Small Business Month.
